Around 6.40 p.m. an emergency call was received by the Safety Team: Boat nr. 66 got stuck on ground on the northern tip of the island Dugi Otok. Apparently the experienced skipper Raimund Reissner of the „Sydney“ had tried to take the turn south too sharply and touched ground. Immediately the Sea Help team in Biograd was informed and speeded with their motorboat to the scene. At around 8 p.m. the boat was pulled back into deeper waters. The „Sydney“ was allowed to finish the race – if the yacht isn’t damaged.
